This is happening on my MK2 850. I ran it without the rocker cover on and oil is getting up to the top part of the engine OK, but one of the stem things behind one of the rockers is dry. All the others seem to be OK. What advice can you give me to help resolve this please.

Only way to check would be to strip it all down.
Take it apart (the rocker assembly) and strip it down, check to see if the oil feed hole isn't clogged. Or just change the shaft. Cost £15 something like that.
