forget webers mate, they are C**p, mine had them on, set up by bogg bros near driffield in yorkshire, he recomended yamaha yzf r1 carbs, so as i am a bike rider with an r1 which i happened to have a spare set of carbs for, i got steve bogg to fabricate me an inlet manifold, and set up the carbs, total cost £350, webers, ha, the difference is unbelievable, it was quick with the webers on but it is a missile with bike carbs on, GRIFF.

Or if you want to go one better, go for jenvey throttle bodies in the SBD kit as I have...

SBD
The kit comes with manifold, indervidual thrttle bodies, programabe MBE ecu, pre mapped, fuel pressure regulator, and injectors. Its listed under multi throttle kits. Then they have the upgrade packages good for 250bhp.

Heres a LINK to Joes project whihc already runs the SBD kit.

Ah i see you have already built a 2.1 XE with 286bhp. So you probably know about SBD already.

That 286bhp (on 48s) lump is my spare racecar engine for my hotrod, i do plan to fit this once ive got the chasis dialed in but in the mean time im building up a tamer engine for the mini as my wife wants to try her hand at a few trackdays etc, thankyou for the sbd linky tim i knew of sbd but to be honest have always used qed (dont know why) but after talking to a very helpful guy at sbd today ive orderd the tb kit for the mini, should be here in a week or so, must admit it looks a good bit of kit for the money

Ah QED, another fantastic Vaux tuning company. Yeah Iv got the 164 tapered kit for my X16XE and its fantastic, can't wait to run it. They were previously in the Allspeed demo car and going from what the owner says was a really nice drive even from low down. Look forward to seeing you pics when you get them.
