Hi all

I've done a full on search of the FAQs and infact all the forum, but have only found a couple of pointers.

I need to replace the front windscreen seal and I don't want to be redoing a second time if it's not right, as it's my only car, in use 6 days out of 7. So my question:

Can I use the later wide seal on my 1989 Thirty?
I'll be pouring copious amounts of sealant in there too, but I wondered it the extra width actually does help, or fixes any big shortcomings of the original seal. Or if the aperture is of a different size or something else that means I need to use a standard seal?

Answers on a postc... er, in a reply please :shifty:

thanks...

Yes, the later type seal can be used, aperture never changed size and IMHO the later one is a better item! Linky should you need it http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=36778

Scuttle not bubbling is it?

As my leak was from the scuttle, not the windscreen.

Good call, but that was the start of the troublems in the first place. My 'mate' replaced the scuttle panel and put the screen back in with out anything new - not the seal, gunge or fillet strip.
