any recomendations? is hammerite good? or do i need to buy a heat resistant paint?

Hammerite will just bunr up slowly and stink, high temp is your best bet mate

Hammerite will be useless. Get engine enamel or Hight temp exhaust paint.

I'd only use a UHT paint even engine laquer will get toasted when you're sat in traffic.

ok i got some heat resistant paint. i filled the holes with gun gum (seems good) and now im painting it

hammerites been fine on my mates cherry bomb rear silencers (home made twin side exits), his gets pretty hot aswell running a turbo

Well I engine lacquered part of my system, rather embarrassing when I took it to a rolling road. It went several shades darker and peeled off through normal usage afterwards anyway.

Hammerite Barbeque paint - I do all my lcb's and exhausts with it and it leaves a nice satin black finish that looks perfect.
