Yup,.. 1500 'should' get you a good quality paint job that will last many years with good maintenance and care.

For some garage to 'do you a respray' that'd probably only be the outside.
If the good sir 'Panelbeater' was doing it,... i know he'd do a proper job, So i'd assume that'd be inside and out.

Also depends what you take them.
Take a full car with nothing stripped then its likely to just be the outside, door shuts and maybe a few other visible places.
Take them a bare shell and its likely to be inside and out, and probably cheaper as they dont have to spend time dismantling and building the thing again.
Again, take them a car with no trim on the outside or interior (yet still drivable) and your likely to get the whole thing done, and cheaper.
Just something to think about.

Rubbing it down isn't hard to either.
Before I decide if I am going to paint the Van myself or not, I am going to get a few quotes on how much a decent paint job will be, for a rubbered down, fillered, ready to degrease, prime and paint would be. Might even get the paint myself, not sure yet. But had a few quotes from friends that are in the business and all seem to be floating around the same figure.
Best quote so far has been around the £750-£800 mark, thats for an outside, door shuts, inside of the doors (inc rear doors) and any other "visable" areas... but remember my quotes are based on a Van rather than a Saloon, but I can't see there being much of a differ.
The price will also vary in depending what you want too... for example, a different colour roof, or if you are aim for concourse standards (dig VERY deep for that). Best way is to drive the painters and ask IMHO. Or read the stickys above on this page, and see if its something you fancy doing yourself, hire a compessor, and spraying kit, with a bit of time, patience, and some hard work, you'll get the paint job you want, and for ALOT cheaper....
