which wheels you going to be using?

i'm gonna get myself a set of dunlop D1's, love the look and they're a bit different from the minilites. And as you can see in some of the pics, my dads elan has similar wheels and i think they look great =)

good choice, make it stad out abit.

theres an australian mk1 cooper s in the feb issue of miniworld with dunlop wheels, and it looks the bees knees!

lol thanks, i'd love to do a few runs around that time but i have my AS level exams, so who knows. Will be attending some summer shows for sure though =D

Cheers for the comments guys. Doing this project is actually making me scared of driving the car when it's done! i reaaaally don't want to make a mark on it lol...buuut i'm sure i'll get over this feeling when i hear the engine going

Anyyyway, time to turn our attention to the rear and put some more of my christmas presants to use

So i'll let the pics do the talking again, much less boring than me babbling on (there's even a pic of me in my telly tubbies suit lol)

when the cars on the road, you could put a little bit of vassilene on your tie rods, my mate did this and it stopped them rusting, and you hardly even notice it.

Anyways yet again i've left it a while to post up on here, so what's been done?
Well today we put the subframes back on, made the long brake pipe that goes the length of the car and got it back on it's (not so stylish) wheels

Everything went together fine and after a few hours she was back on all fours! I forgot how low and small the car really was until today! She really is a go kart for the road lol. Not sure if you'll be able to see by the pics, but she's on full negative camber at teh moment and the tracking ect. still needs doing..but hey, we're getting somewhere!!!
