hopefully its just a quick question!

Roughly, how much would I be looking at to get a complete scuttle panel, the majority of the A pillar and an A panel replaced on my 2000 mpi cooper? Im jobless at the moment so its the decision to sort the car out, or sell it on.

The parts will come to around £100-150 prob less but the labor is whats going to kill you.

i can get hold of the parts easily enough. its just a rough guideline of labour cost at the moment. Im C**p at welding, the rest of the car is mint so i dont want to mess about with it.

to do the scuttle properly, you're looking at removing the wings aswell, or at least I've never thought of attempting repairing scuttle ends without removing them.

I paid £580 to get my scuttle and passenger door skin replaced, this included spraying, rust treating and welding but not parts (£40 for a new scuttle).

hmm. well that gives me something to work on i guess. hopefully i will be able to get it done at some point, its not leaking at the moment so thats a bonus. although i found out that some scrote keyed it this morning, about 3 inches on the roof but its gone through the paint and has dented it slightly. i have a good feeling i know who done it so i will get that sorted out as well

I paied almost 4k for a entire new front end rebuild, including sports pack alloys and wheel arches. My A panel was in a state, the inner A panel was rusty also, and the scuttle was pretty bad too. They said 3.5k but they needed to do the front suspension as it was on its last legs as I wanted the arches cut out for sports pack, so paied about 3.8k. Worth it for my little baby tho :w00t:
