Yo,,
Just bought myself some paint and a scotch bright pad as well as a can of thinners.
5liter of primer.
5liter of thinner
1 scotch bright pad.
Came to about £30. That a good price or not?
Also, using the scrotch bright pad do I have to worrie about areas on the car where I've used my hands to closes doors and boots. Few marks from where my hands where due to the oils.
Or should I run some white spirit over 1st.
Cheers.
Couple Questions.

You can get prep wipes, or a 'panel wipe' liquid IIRC. I used to do prepping, but it stopped there, I never did the topcoat stuff really.
Anyway, I don't know if white spirit is a good enough degreaser really. It's the contaminants that you're trying to get rid of. There are tack cloth things too.... to be honest, I don't know as I can't remember! LMAO

Bugger it.
I'll use the "sod it and see" method.

White spirit will leave a residue behind which is a c*** to remove. I made the mistake of cleaning my bike disc rotors with it once.....
You'd be better off with alcohol or meths.

Be careful with celly thinners, they can melt paint! especially if it's non original. I'd use panelwipe.
