today i bought myself some seats! YAY!
they cost me £102 off ebay, which i didnt think was too bad!? ill have to save up for my speedwells now!!
i also recently have bought a steering wheel, a new seald beam insert for my blown reversing lamp, lol, and a pressed numberplate for the back! but the stupid post strike has meant i only have the insert.... poo, oh well! pics:
i did a bit of work too, i cut the holes for my speakers and took off my spaced drums to fit my non spaced ones, but the thread on the studs doesnt go the whole length, and i was just going to cut them down.... so has anyone got a die to cut thread!!?
not much left now!! WOOP

Today:
went to minisport and bought some goodies, and necesseties... (is that how you spell that!??)
i got a gearbox gasket set ready for the swap, some warning lights for my dash, 8 wheel studs for my non spaced drums and two bottom engine mountings with captive nuts, i dont know why they weren't deigned like this in the first place... lol
i went down expecting to have the gearboxes swapped but instead i found myself in that situation where you say, ill just do this, it'll take me 5 min, well i spent about an hour trying to get the rear window in, then another hour trying to get that stupid silver strip into the groove
so i did some wiring.... and ran out of spade connectors... so then i set about the gearbox, which i got as far as taking off the bolts that hold it to the block, then i had to go for tea, and it was getting dark.... so tomorrow ill prob get it seporated then put it onto the engine ill be using!
so all in good fun....? lol oh and minisport decided to sell me the wrong wheel studs, so i now have 16 for spaced drums.... tisk

Right!
today i fixed my dash in properly with the brackets i got with it, very fiddly and irritationg, but i got there! lol
the 'new' gearbox is all cleaned up ready to go on, the rest of the engine bay is now white, the seats have been collected and they are soooo comfy!! also being high back they wont go forwrds to let anyone in the back.... so two seater it is then!!
i got some 3 point harnesses with the seats which i am going to use, however, there is nothing on the end of the strap which should bolt into the rear.... so what do i do!? lol
anyway, its looking like it'll be ready by half term, my dad has taken a few days off to help me with the engine going back in, so im well excited!!!!
ill get some pics tomorrow i think!
