Its island blue i think, there is a late island blue that some mini 40's were done in, paint code CMV, but not sure if its the same as the original island blue. I will try and find out later :smartass:

Scrub that the 1999 island blue is JFU and the 60's one may be 008, but can't be certain. Like I say, i'm not sure if they differ.

Binge your paint code is on the VIN plate, in the box marked 'paint' strangely enough..... :grin:

It's the car's identity card. It has the VIN number (the cars chassis code which is on your V5 registration form), maximum gross weight and stuff all stamped into it.
It's in the engine bay, at the very front rivetted to the left or right inner wing panel depending on the car's age.
You didn't really buy a second hand car without checking the VIN did you? :nugget:
The Vin should also be stamped into the scuttle panel, inside the rear bonnet gutter infront of the drivers seat. Open the bonnet and you should be able to just see it past the bonnet seal.

you should always check with the VIN numbers are the same, to make sure it hasnt been crashed or a cut shut job or even stolen.

Silly me!
Ahh well. I got my paint EVENTUALLY!
I went to Halfrauds and went to the paint isle. Looking for "Mini Electric blue"
Looking for about 30 mins and no luck.
Go to counter and ask "Excuse me, do you have JSA Mini Electric blue..."
He looked on his computer and said, yeah, It should be out on the shop floor, Come with me.
We get to the paint isle, He goes over to "Rover electric blue" :sad:
I was stood for Half an hour looking for "MINI" Blue! And stupid me forgets its "Rover" blue :cheese:
I felt like a cheese cake!

Rover Electric blue is what I should of been looking for...
