I have a set of the Hardy Spicer type rubber driveshaft couplings - are these still something people want or shall I chuck them?

If you mean the QH5000 couplings, not a lot.
Hardy spicers are universal joints.

the rubber ones aren't hardy spicer ones.

That'd explain that then! They're the sort used instead of the 'pot' CV joints on the earlier cars (these are from a 72 Clubby). I might try them on ebay, as they're in good nick, look like they've been replaced recently.
