Got up to about 95mph on a...er...private motorway...in mine, was doing about 4500rpm I think so still had a fair bit left in it.

had mine past the 110 mark on the way to newquay the other year, at about 5500rpm ish. being on 10s would help slightly, and of course make the speedo over reads that bit more than they do on the sportspack wheels.

Had mine to 97ish and I don't ever intend to go faster than that! Its not brilliant for the little dude

i actually went out and did it today. i got her up to 106 on a windy wet motorway with 2 of us in the old girl. A porche went past us doin bout 90 so we followed in the fast lane for a while before he moved over and let us pass. i got up to 106 then my smile was quickley wiped off my face when the porche took me again doin what seemed like 120ish. realising i had no more to give i slowed down and went back to the slow lane. I reckon i could have took it off the speedo if i was in the car by myself. NEVER AGAIN.....though it was very fun.

had mine up to 100 ish then had to back off. helps if you actually get the wheels balanced. an an mpi on 12's has a higher top speed than one on 13's apparently.

Last time we had a 998cc top speed thread, alot of people were saying they got 90 out of stage 1 998's.

I have a completely standard 998 and I've had more than 90 out of mine, although the speedo only goes to 90 it's been past 90, I'd say it was reading about 95, whatever that equates to in real terms I don't know. That was on a private road, naturally
