It it possible to squeeze a 2.0 vtec into a mini from a honda accord. I know it has been done with a 1.8 but has a 2.0 ever been done. I ask because i could get ahold of one relativly cheap?

Thx Stewart

I'd look on Minimania.com under the chat pages (I think it's called community). Minitec are a US company of course (in Georgia if memory serves), so probably not much presence here to be honest. Their kits get rave reviews - you can do a search on the Minimania site. A guy that frequents the chats recently did a full build with a supercarged K20A...

Minimania sells the Minitec parts too

Ah just found out the engine i would be getting has a tiptronic semi auto/ auto box attached not a standard manual box i assume this would cause a lot of problems probably a lot bigger?

I'd love to shoehorn my H22a7 into my Mini, but my Accord kind of needs it :shifty:

Gerry @ Performancetek has K20'd his Mini and it looks really sweet, He'll happily do a full conversion for me, or if you want power, I'll be getting my del sol H22'd mid next year, you can buy my b16!

Spec list:

b16 head
b18 bottom end (b18c4)
Polished head
Crespo springs and retainers
Jun stage 3 cams
Fidanza 9lb Flywheel
Magnecore leads
Iridium plugs
put into car about 1500 miles ago
Exedy 6 puck clutch.

by the time it comes out i'll have fitted the other bits I have:
Skunk 2 inlet manifold
68mm Spoon throttle body
DC Sports 4-2-1 Mani
Wiseco crank
ITR pistons
Forged conrods

with that and a remap she should see the business end of 210bhp....

he's sold his interior i think, infact i think it was the first thing to go.

I'll find out whats left...

Get yourself registered on http://www.accordr.org There's someone selling a pair of front seats for £350

Plus there's normaly loads of parts, group buys etc so things like clutch kits are cheaper.

Depending on what subframe you use! that will fit in a clubman front easily!

There was never a good 2 litre engine in the accords, apart from the Japan only 'Euro R' model, a B16a2 would be much better than the F20 (i presume) thats in your accord.

nah, the only decent propper vtec in the Accords was my engine, H22A7, the rest were just mincey half vtec efforts

Euro R came in the CL1 chassis ('98 - '03) came with an H22A7 but the later '03 onwards (CL7 chassis) came with a K20A i think the same engine as the DC5 'teg
