I stopped to help a Mini driver after finding his Mini had bounced off a barrier on a motorway slip road. Only thing is I was driving a Mondeo at the time so it didn't really have the same effect.

it's not too fun when you know more about fixing stuff than they do!

i've called out the RAC four times since march

They've beek OK...

apart from the person who answers the call not knowing what theyre on about :dozing: So they tell the patrol guys the wrong information :dozing:

I ran out of fuel had a very sophisticated fueling problem, too - at about 1.30 am and had to ring them (this was the same night that Dad's mini blew a headgasket and we had to leave it in banbury, so they thought we were playing silly beggers because we'd called them twice in one night :dozing:). The person on the end of the phone had told the patrol guy that we were between Banbury and Chipping Campden.... not Chipping Norton, where we actually were :dozing:

So they didnt arrive until 5 am :dozing: Got home at 7.30 :dozing:

Another time, I broke down on the way back from SMD at about 4.30.... we left the services by Caterham at 10.30 :( we spent 6 hours in a car park! >_< I got home at 2am <_<

Then another time... :errr: I lost my clutch in Croydon :dozing:

The woman on the phone said I'd lost my clutch cable!! :withstupid:!!!

This was at about 4pm :ermm: I made it home before midnight that night!! :)

The RAC are pretty good though, I think.

The patrol guys in Hereford are nice too  I've met them a fair few times :o And the guy that picked Charlie up after the crash knew me and Dad by name :errr:

The last guy to recover Dad when he broke down asked how I was and wanted to be remembered to me! ;) :teehee:

The AA are C**p!
Waiting on the side of a busy road for 8hrs is not funny.
