is that the front or rear
i gotta get the exhaust system lifted to tub and lower the rear any more and i would have to cut the rear subby to fit the back box up into vallance and re weld a piece of tubign around the backbox back to the subby a lot of work to lower really so i left it for now :withstupid: cutting fronts is peasy

Ideally, I could of been doing with no boot floor, or rear arches at all... but then the shell would of been a wobbly as a 2CV in the wind...

i take it cutting the rear arches higher is a big job as its not 1 sheet of metal your cutting into the second sheet that is the inner arch and i'd end up with a v shape with out the tip (a gap between the 2 that i'd have to weld all along the arch) ?? and it makes the car flex to much ?

nonono, dog was saying that no boot floor or arches would make the car flex too much!

cutting as you described and then welding the gap would have very little structural effect. (if welded nicely)
