The MX5 and Porsche tombstone are nice in proportion in a mini, slim on the seat back so still gives impression of space in the cabin.

I have seats out of an 88 or 89 Honda CRX .. they work relatively well. I wouldnt mind getting my hands on a set of 1991 Honda Prelude Si seats as they are equally narrow with good bolsters AND lumbar support

I drive a 5th gen Prelude as my daily driver, and have to agree, they are fantastic seats! Very similar in shape to the classic Recaro LX/LS which a few members have successfully fitted.

I'd think they'd work well, I found the seats in my VX220 very comfortable, I did over 34,500 miles in 13 months in mine!

To anyone who's fitted the Alfa GTV front seats, did you make up a completely custom subframe? Or would something like an off-the-shelf Cobra locking subframe be usable (perhaps with some minor tweaks)? I'm eyeing up a set of the GTV seats for my daily driven '91 mini but I don't really have the tools or capability to make my own frames. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What do you have to get the MX5 seats to fit?

Is it a custom subframe?
