Yep, done that the other night as well. The worst morning I've had is when I spent 15 minutes de-icing and warming the car up, set off to work, got round the corner and had to stop and start de-icing again because I couldn't see out the windscreen or back window.

Yup every time again when it freezes. The problem with the snow is, is that I drive it, the car warms up the snow becomes water. Runs down all the gaps/doors/locks. I park it and it all freezes up.

Mines tooked up nice and warm in the garage everynight so locks don't freeze  , funny how I would never clear the garage until the Mini came along. I am, however, getting a little obsessed about cold and rain. I tend to walk a lot more than I used to just because I hate getting the mini wet.

Just get a small water boiler. I put it on whenever I go out in the morning and just pour it on the lock. Its open quicker than that I can put the can back. Just put it on a couple of minutes before leaving. Do the same thing again when leaving from work at 6 PM. When it's as cold as it is now than it froze shut again during the day.
