ive been running a stick on plate sinse the start of the year when i fitted my carbon front....
it sailed through the MOT with no problems, and he definately knew it was stick on, because he read ot wrong the first time and blamed it on it being a stick on plate
didnt coment on its legalities tho.
i know it is sicktly illegal, but so many people have them, and i dont see how tis such a big deal really
if its a rear plate i can understand, as they have to be 'photoable' (made up word) for cameras and such like
but a front plate isnt such a big deal IMO

I think the stick on plate looks better, and you don't have to deal with anythin smashin up the plate below the bumper mine was wrecked by a squirel, what was he doin in the road anyway!
Never had any probs with the old bill even when i've been stopped for a routine check! All i have is a stick on.
It's a lot more visible than the standard plates i think, it's alot more in your face you know closer to eye level an all that.
Looks pretty visible to me:

Stickers definately look cooler! stupid law!......is there a date cut off when they were changed....as many old black plate cars seems to have stick ons eg. E-Types, Coopers etc? I suppose with that bend rule my Clubman is way off on that one.......handy for birds and planes but not coppers straight ahead of you! tehehehehe
