charge the battery and leave it disconnected for a few days then try it again

if its flat its got to be the battery

if it has power and starts your mini it must be the mini's wiring

if it's the mini wiring get back to me and i can talk you through some tests

Check engine earth strap is in good condition, and clean around where it bolts up. This could prevent efficient charging. Worth a try!

do you mean the screw in the top of the terminal ?

it stops the battery terminal jumping off the battery
