Head Lights

All the headlights were working as was the spots and fog lights.
I wanted to check them before the MOT.....Nothing no lights what so ever.
When I put a test rig on to earth and the second fuse down they come on.
They work for a while then go off completely do the thing with the test rig they come back on .
Any help on this as I want to get it MOT
Checked and replaced the fuse box and in-line fuses

do you mean you replaced the fuses in the fuse box or the fuse box its self ?

could be the relay which is not working well?

sounds like a bad connection check connections and all earths

the second fuse down, on the left (drivers) side is the wire which goes to the light switch. Mine had burned through a few years back causing very bad connections,, check this is clean and ok, then check power is getting through to the light switch (take it out, pull the plug off, insert tester.)

M1N1 - i am th same as you... By connection burnt through. If you put the lights on they worked for a little while, then after a little puff of smoke from connection they stopped!

good luck with the lights...
