Sorry... I assumed RTV would be a familiar term.

Warning: Word History To Follow
RTV is an acronym. It stands for "Room Temperature Vulcanizing". What it REALLY means in today's world is "silicone rubber in a tube" as shown in the link to the Mini Spares item.

There are hundreds of silicone rubber in a tube products made just for automotive use. The most common ones are: Blue, for oil resistance, Red (or Orange, or Copper) for higher temperature use, Clear for general sealing, Black for rubber repairs and general sealing.

Tip i've been told is to put the gasket over the rocker cover and drive round with it there for a day or so. it then heats it and forms it into shape.
