Tell the truth. If you are in the wrong theres no problem with being honest.

Ring up and say they have made an error and got one of the registration plate characters wrong.

They may let you off, they may not. Better to have a guilt free conscience.

i found a website a while back that told you exactly how to get out of paying parking fines, incorrect reg numbers, dates etc are an absolute certainty that you will not have to pay a penny. the reason being that incorrect documentation will not hold up in court!
do a search on google, type in parking fines getting out of etc, have a good look around there is some very interesting info available around this subject.

Exactly! I reckon with this kinda thing, it's better in the long run to just be honest. If they've made a mistake, just tell em. They'll probably have a photo linked to the incident anyway, so it might just mean a delay in paying the fine, rather than avoiding it totally.

my uncle used to be a traffic warden...

but he is dyslexic, so he'd get muddled up with the registration plates and write them down wrong! :P

They kept telling him off because people didn't pay them :(

but this was in the days before they had cameras with them :ermm:
