I'm looking to but a bucket seat in my car, however I don't think the modern style buckets will suit the style of the car. So I would like to try and get hold of either original or replica Cooper S or Works rally seats. Does anyone know who made the original seats?! Does anyone have or know of someone that has original style buckets seats. (I'm not too worried about getting the passenger seat, just the drivers bucket seat will do!)

Yea looked at them, was kinda preferring to get originals, although if I have no luck I'll go with them, although I do have an ace up my sleeve!! The problem is that in the works cars the navigators seat wasn't a bucket seat, it was like a full back seat with a recessed bit on the actually seat part, if you get me?!

I think that they used Microcell seats in the original works cars. Restalls were another popular upgrade in that era. Either way, an original set is going to cost plenty, and that's if you can find a set. They do appear on ebay from time to time. I've seen some reproduction Speedwell bucket seats advertised too. These are very nice looking retro seats, but I can't remember who sells them. I've got a feeling it's Mini Spares or possibly MiniSpeed.

I've got the cobra classics, best thing is they can do any colours, with or without headrests and piping. Got mine to match my wheels an arches!
This is before i put them in, my car isn't this luxorious (don't have a clue how to spell!)

Newton Commercial make the best replica that's available at the moment. As has been said, a genuine original will cost lots of cash.

Newton Commercial factory recliner replica linky link!

I am now the proud owner of a original Cooper S bucket seat (even if it isn't original I still think £60 is a fair price for a bucket seat and subframe). I can't believe it went from £17 to £55 in the last half hour!! I want to know if the guy who bid upto £55 was pre-approved by the seller since he had 0 feedback and the advert said to contact the seller if you had 0 feedback or your bid would be removed, which meant that it would of been about £40 cheaper!!!

After thought; Did the Coooper Ss come with buckets?! Or will this seat be an after market seat that was fitted at some point?!
