No idea, it's probably the same colour. If you want to know for a reason, I can find out if they are the same at work.

I would imagine that they are two different shades used at different times. For instance there are about three different British Racing Greens used during the production of the mini, all of them looking slightly different.

965 or BLVC/965 is the code you want, the other colour (not the MG one) is a solid colour, not a metallic.

right, im geting really confused. Now i have been told that you cant get a 2 pack metallic.
I want this exact finish but have been told so many different things.
Can someone tell me

1)The correct colour code
2)What type of paint it is (ie, cellulose/2pack)
3)If it is metallic, non-metallic etc

Any help is very much appreciated. Ps. Mini magic, i hope you dont mind me using your picture

If you want the same colour as on Mini Magic's mini then the code you need is BLVC 965 (car code JRJ). This is the pearlescent Tahiti Blue. I recently bought some of this for painting a new bonnet on the g/f's mini. You need to buy the coloured basecoat and the lacquer to topcoat it with. Got mine from www.paints4u.com and is an excellent match to the original.

1) BLVC/965

2) Ideally 2k paint, but there is legislation against this now and most paint suppliers will only supply water based basecoats.

3) It is metallic basecoat, with a clear laquer over the top.

PS. Unless you have the equipment and a heated paint booth, dont even attempt to use water based at home.

I think you will be better off visiting a local body shop or automotive paint refinish suppliers to ask their advice.
