I keep my eyes peeled all the time - If I know that I'm going to need something down the line, if it's a decent price, I'll buy it - I'll only end up paying out for it eventually anyway! It works the other way 'round though - If I know I'll need something new, I won't buy it 'til I need it ... gives me chance to find a decent second hand version!

I may sound like a bit of a scrooge, lol - But you might as well save money in some places - It just means you can put a bit more money into another aspect of the car.

Is the mpi stuff from the car you bought just recently? Is it rude to ask how much it cost you? (just interested!)

Only the interior, lol - Not that we actually have it yet - I'm just excited, lol

I've adored that interior for years - But never thought I'd actually find one!!

I'm not gonna let you know how much we paid, but Graham named his price and that's what we agreed! :)

Karl's Gearbox? :)

It came with the car, I'm afraid - But it's the sort of thing you can pick up at any Mini show, or possibly somewhere like huddersfield spares :)

Um, daft question ... How should it be stored? Bearing in mind it'll be a while before I get the old 'box off and swapped out?

Karl's Gearbox?

I’d hope not, as it should be under the engine and back in the mini. Plus I think even I’d notice if pick tried to tuck it under his arm and walk off with it.

it might be :o

big nuts need torquing,

Shouldn’t be too hard, just stand on it lol

If it was mine, Between the 2 and bit years of having it built and actually getting round to dropping it in the car. Lightly oiled, rapped up and either stored in the conservatory (till I got moaned at) or after that my bedroom lol
