But you dont know when that brochure was made?? Ive got a mini brochure that says Austin Morris...

the dates are on the "family tree" image ;D

PS: brochure was from early 1984 as it says 25 years young but features a mini with 10inch wheels. 12 inch wheels became standard in October 1984 so it's sometime between January and October 1984  at a guess

I'm not putting a downer on anything, I'm just correcting commonly made mistakes ;D

it doesnt change a thing about your car, it's just that people need to realise that V5 documents are not gospel

yes, well said

i like to read everything and anything i get get my hands on. i retain the basic knowledge but i look back to the books for the details...

...and i have no friends (nothing else to do with my time) :P

PS: you from Daventry then !!! I'm from Rugby and work in Dav. if you want a local mini club give RCMOC a Google (Rugby Classic Mini Owners Club)... but you wont find me there because i fell out with them, too much of a smart arse  ;D (well i didn't fall out with them to be honest, its just that our opinions differ).

and please, you must take everything i say as tongue in cheek, yes i get wound up if the facts are wrong, but it's never anything personal

No friends? well what about me since you invited, or more like press ganged me into help moderate the Mainstream Cooper Register? LOL

Anyway one thing to remember is that the Mini was originally called the Austin Severn and the Morris Mini Minor, but the general public just called them Minis and so Austin soon dropped the Severn name and switched to Mini and of course they gave up altogether with badging them as Austin's or Morris's by the end of the 60's.

;D
