Seen this conversion done on a few different minis over the last year or two but never heard any opinions on them (only what the magazines say). Anyone hate them? Love them? Don’t care  ?

Saw a kit for the Vauxhall conversion on Ebay a couple of days ago

isnt the 2 litre XE engine an ally head on a cast iron block?
i liek the 2 litre as iv seen what 1 can be pused to(NA) but i prefer the vtecs, 1.8 is well nice

nope alot of people use the 'lude engine as it has abit more power over the 1.6 VTEC engine

what about the 1.8 smae engine just slighly larger bore, even uses the same internals, though im convinced the crnak stroke is slightly different! and the gear ratios are closer.
the advantages of vtecs are simple power advance the vtec= more power, slighty less drivable, bvut then again isnt even tuned engine
