im in the process of having an argument with some mates about their cars and im all for the mini! whats everyone else think?

corsas about 200bhp,focus is about 250, and mini vtec is 250 also.

who would win in a drag,endurance and a track!

Work out the power to weight ratios and you'll have your answer.

Which tuned Honda engine is going in the mini. No standard Vtec puts out 250bhp.

obviously not standard. going for the type r with the works done to it.

all on coilovers and whatever suspension setup you wanted.....



id say mini on the power to weight but theyre giving me all this rubbish about putting the power down and reliability which is totally intangeable!

give me some science to baffle them with!

Well they have a point, the mini will struggle to get the power down. A mini with about 250bhp should be able to do a 1/4 mile in about 13-14 seconds, depending on the experience of the driver and the cars setup. I think it would be close on the drag strip, but the mini would have it, probably down to the gearing more than anything.

I don't think reliability would come into it in an endurance.

As for a track, the mini would wee all over the other two (depending on how they are all setup of course).

so to thrash the others on the drag with a vtec what would we suggest? or maybe a zcars conversion instead? with R1 in back or front?

Do both - Z-cars conversion with a rear mounted VTEC - no problem putting the power down then!

Aye - that gulf colours z-cars thats in mini mag this month would eat a chaviot corsa for breakfast - 650kg, with 243bhp. And it cost under 15k.
