I'm currently working on the Chinooks at RAF Odiham, and frankly I can't believe how many Mini's there are on unit!

I've seen;
John Cooper tuned soft-top, Red
Cooper, Almond Green
" , Tahiti Blue
" , Anthracite
" , Volcano Orange (mine... lol!)
" , Racing Green
Piccadilly, Metallic Green

And Odiham is one of the smallest bases too...!

Who else on here is in the services?

I left the RAF two years ago, I know Odiham well as I was based there for seven years 1989-1996, I was an MT tech.

Damn, I thought this would be a thread dedicated to the military Moke. I could of told you all rather proudly that one of the ex's dads was heavily involved with trying to sell the Moke to the army. Oh well, I will save it for a rainy day. . .

I am not ex-services or serving but my Mini came from a chap on an RAF base.

Ok then, as you sound interested!

One of my ex girlfriend's dads was heavily involved with trying to sell the Moke to the army. Painting them green, demonstrating them and modifying them for military use. He was also partially responsible for putting rubber bumpers on MGB's to fit in with American legislation but I will save that snippet for another forum. . . .

In the 80's my father stationed at RAF Upper Heyford. We had 2 Mini's while he was there. Now I'm state side with a 998.

Don't think the Army ever had any Mokes but the RAF did and the Army used Mini saloons as staff cars.

I'm in the RAF. Currently at Lyneham. Don't actually think that there are any minis on camp other than mine.
