I'm not in the RAF but live a mile from RAF Halton and have seen a few Minis going in and out

I'm at Brize Norton. Seen about five around base. In the last 2 years. Not too mini friendly with the massive speed bumps at the entrance

Don't think the Army ever had any Mokes but the RAF did and the Army used Mini saloons as staff cars.
When I joined the RAF in 1984 we had twelve mini vans and 8 mini saloons at my first base, around 1986 they were replaced with the metro and two days after recieving them I wrote one off by driving a 6x4 truck over it (not intentially), I wasn't very popular with my boss as it was his first staff car

i have a pic somewhere of RAF Boulmer with a few minis outside a building, that were MT cars.

My mini van is ex MOD, olive green and it has commission numbers and all sorts but i'll be honest and admit i don't know what any of them mean

I'm in the RAF working at Marham (A Tech M). I've got 2 minis-a pickup and a GT, keep on at people at work to buy one but no-one seems to take any notice
