Thing is, this is NOT a new thing - they made a few remakes of this series, including KR-2K (Knight Rider 2000) where KITT has been reduced to spare parts due to budget cuts, and now lives inside the shell of an 1980's portable TV / radio / tape deck unit......Seriously! :w00t: Actually I have a very similar TV unit from about '83.....been tempted to cram a computer in there a few times. >_<

They also mase a team K.R film / series which was based on the idea of young and trendy early 20's / teens driving cars that talk and fight crime............basically the live action version of the old cartoon "Pole Position" :

They did something similar with Smokey & the Bandit........ man that was a cheap knock off too! :dontgetit:

Coming up next: A Team VS Knight Rider...........and prolly at some point they'll all fight the terminator............or superman............or the Hulk............or Scooby Doo..... . . . . . . .
:)

Yup, "KR" is short for Knight Rider.....just can't be bothered to type those words more than a few times :xxx: - there just happens to be a '.' in the middle of the K and R......a typo.

Either way, was still a load of C.R.A.P ! :w00t:

Anoraks pointless but interesting Si-Fi fact.....

the voice of KITT and the voice of that round Dr Theo thing that used to sit around Twiki's neck in Buck Rodgers.....

..... were NOT done by the same person >_< :) (but they sound very similar :w00t: )

Eric Server was the voice Dr. Theopolis and also did some of Twiki (you know that 2ft large, talking metalic sex toy, that wandered in and out of shot from time to time.......seriously, that helmet / head could have been a bit better designed..... >_< ). Mel Blank (the voice of Bugs bunny) did the rest of Twiki's voice.

Kitt was voiced by William Daniels - who has been in a LOAD of other tv shows (he's a thin old guy with grey hair and a 'tash). He was i "boy meets world" was a teacher, or next door neighbor.....or something like that. was also in the filem The Graduate.

Who wants to bet KITT ends up with a voice of Arnie slankenbladder (well he is getting old) or some REALLY badly put-on "british" accent - you know the type, the ones that sound NOTHING like the actual languge..... :)
