Rewind a bit there people..........

You spent £300.................... on a box????

Yeah but thats a good start, no point having an expensive box and nothing to go in it. Mine cost bout £700 and thats just a normal snap-on one. I had a metal tray to start with! lol

But but but but but!

I spent about £80 on my tools AND the box! Actually it's the red box in the first pic, I got some properly moulded trays for all the tools, I notice you don't get that for your £300. No wonder getting work done at a garage is so expensive if we have to fund a 'who's got the biggest box' culture! LOL

The guy i work with traded in his small box for 1600 and got his new bigger box for 2000 so he paid 400 in the end...but his small one was a ltd edition...and so is his new one....ill get some pics if you want?

And yeh i spent 300 on the box and ive got about another 3-400 in tools in there....if you look at the first drawer the top middle there is the soft handle ratchet? that cost me about 60 quid cant remember though? and the small green screwdrivers cost me about 30 so they are expensive but definately worth it!

i think we should make this a "what toolbox do you have" topic? how about it people?

My toolbox is an old kitchen cabinet with a set of drawers. Price - free, which means I'm £300+ up on you, leaving me with more money to spend on tools and parts!

At the end of the day its just a container. I can understand paying mega bucks on tools, but not a box.

Fine yer undermine me why dont you! lol youve got to look professional when your a mechanic! if someones turns up to a garage and sees that youve got an old kitchen cupboard (jammy) as a tool box then you dont look very professional! if you have a toolbox like mine or a snap on one or even a mac then you look like you could do a half decent job! I understand the culture but my parents and friends dont
