I plan to rattle can my mini, mat black

There is already paint on there so i could just key it, but is it better to key, primer and then paint? (All if this will be done with rattle cans)

If so, after primer, do i need to do any rubbing down, or does the mat go straight onto the dry primer?

Cheers

although you want a matt surface you also want a smooth surface - give it a rub down :-
