Hi I am contemplating converting my head on my A series, and either getting re bored to 1293 or 1380, but I was just wondering what is the difference between the k100, k1100 and k1200 heads please, as they all look visually the same, also what exactly is needed to be done for the conversion please?

K100 = 8 valve head

k1100 and k1200 = 16 vealve head and are virtually the same i believe. 1200 is just a newer head i believe

Im going to through a spanner in the works and say that there is a k100 16v head. Its just that there are more k1100 ones knocking about

the k75 head also is the same 8v as the k100....

maybe the diff is in the cam on the k1200/k1100

LOL, how can the K75 have 8 or even 16 valves when its a three cylinder engine.
