alright, im going to de-bumper the rear of my mini, and i know that your meant to remove about 4" at a time then weld up. but i need to replcae my rear valance and do some repare to the boot floor, right by where it joins to the rear valance and back panel.
so what do you reacon i should do?
cut the whole of the bumper seam/hanger off, then repcae the panles or what?
any sugestions?

i would replace your metal work first

then deseam it as a separate job

remembering that you don't have to be to fussy welding on the bumper lip the first time
