A brief history
bought 5 years ago from a guy who had twins on the way for £500,
it was a 998 auto (which was never gonna be stayin) and pretty much as stanard as it gets.
so the first that happened was the removable front, and a manual gearbox.
following that was a stage 1 kit
then a respray in 89 flame red with a white roof (nice)
(leaving him like this)
since then its stayed like that for about 3 years till i got my L plates in april 07
when i decided it was time for a change
to which came ice
a sub for 99p off ebay
a sony xplod head unit
pair of tweters
pair of woofers
and a pair of 6x9's
1x 1000WATT amp
1x 600 WATT amp
(sounds great lol)
rest of the interior
then followed dash monted rev counter
new carpets
centre console
and door cards
going faster (now ive passed my test that is)
and now a A+ engine with
new gearbox
refurbed block
stage 3 head
sw5 cam
and the stage 1 manifold
(leaving it like this)
but now then engines done and all hooked up but wont start
how fustrating

hay guys time for an update...
since my last post we have actually got the engine running, turned out the valves where hitting the block which was quite wierd seen as other people have done exactly the same with no problem.
but i now have a second mini
another G reg 89, 60,000 miles and a widgey bit so not bad goin for £700, needs a new a panel but other than having to replace the water pump and having a crushed fuel tank breather pipe is right as rain.
but anyway.
does anybody have any advice on the easiest way to achive 100bhp at the wheels from a 1275cc??
i was thinkin bore out 1380cc and go from there has anyone got anybetter way of acheving this kinda power stayin with the a-series and not goin above 1380?i dont like the idea of paper thin cylinder walls lol,
any advice ideas welcome
Thanks mike
