This seems like a silly question to me, but im trying to change the wing mirrors on my Mini, do i really take the door panel off and try and undo the two nuts through that tiny hole, or is there another way to do it, please help.

I thought this was an easy job.

If they are factory fit mirrors they are held by two captive nuts that are fitted in to the door skin and two screws , so there should be no need to strip the door card off, Under a standard mirror there is a plastic cover on the underside that you prise off to reveal the two crosshead screws

If they are held on by nuts and bolts you can wind the window right down, take off the door seals and get to the nuts that way.

I managed to do it, then again I managed to "lose" 2 or 3 nuts down the inside of the door at the same time :proud: good fun though...
