Years ago I had a tour of the AC factory at Thames Ditton. Having watched ancient craftsmen hand-tailoring cowhide seat covers for a special order 428 I'm sure I remember seeing rows of the little AC invalid carriages which I was told were made for a government contract and helped finance the exotic sports car side. Not long after there was a big fuss when it was revealed they were lethal weapons on the road. I guess they were underpowered, handled badly and offered no protection in a crash.

thats cool like in the old days, when you had a corner for just minis like 30 to choose from.
and local papers stuffed with vans for 50 quid or a cooper or two for 150 with 6 months Mot.
and all those dreams pulling their pissers and driving down the road at 150 in those rebuilt minis which they did for 20 quid and two cans of spray filler from halfords.
those were the days.
I bet all those green barnstards will be tripping about the enviroment if they find out..
