you use a T piece and conect both float bowls together

if your not sure whats the inlet just open up the float bowl and look for the ball valve inside thats the inlet

Look at your picture again. On HS2 carbs, the brass tubes you see on top of the float bowls are the input ports, not outputs. There are small overflow holes drilled in the lids just below the brass tubes. The only other outlet is the jet tube itself at the bottom of the bowls.

As for the connections between the carbs, the original Cooper and -S setup used a long metal tube with a "T" near the front carb. Short lengths of tubing connected the float bowl lids to this long tube/"T".

I don't understand your question about the water holes.

ok , what i mean is that am converting single carb to a twin ( on the single carb manifold it has a water inlet and a outlet flow at opposite ends). I no that the twin doesent use it but what do i do with the existing rubber pipe work NOW?

Your floatbowls should have different tops like these, feed one then take off to the other but as has been said you can put a tee piece in.

The overflows are pinholes under the brass tabs.

The vents are there put some petrol in the float bowl 'n turn it upside down you'll soon find it.

Just connect the two water hoses together.

my floatbolws are original ones so dont have outlet ones just have inlet ones, so we will have to use a t - pipe.

if there the pipes coning out between the carbs in the top picture there for the crank breather, you will need a y piece for them to.
or block them off so there air tight and fit a crank breather filter.but if you do this u must keep up to date with oil changes.
cheers
