Is it just the outer door that's rusty or the rest of the door too?

It's basically a copy of the bottom few inches of the frame of the door, you cut off your old one and weld the new one on and then replace the skin as normal, it allows you to cut out all your nasty rust and keep your original door. What's the crack with door bottoms?

Well I went to a guy at a bodyshop and he said he wouldn't work on it like that because the rust would just come back again in a few months time.
What utter rhubarb. He just doens't want the job, and it's easier for him to charge you more and fit a new door than it is to repair your old one I imagine.
The whole idea of the repair patch is that you cut the rust out and replace it with new metal,.. this is the only way to cure rust. If done properly with all the rust cut out, replaced and protected, there's no reason that door wont be good for another 5+ years.. maybe more depending on the quality of the work.
The bottom repair panel costs £5 and you can get door skins for about £20-25.

There's very slight rusting on the inside of the door behind the mirror but none anywhere else apart from that.

So I should just fix the bottom of the door then?
There's very slight rusting on the inside of the door behind the mirror but none anywhere else apart from that.
I would fix the bottom and re-skin. Bear in mind that if it's the original door it has been custom fitted to your mini (No two doors on any mini will line up perfectly when swapped as Rover wouldn't make the body shells and panels accurately enough to be the same every time) Knowing this,... repairing the door saves a lot of time and effort getting panel lines correct and shutting etc correct on a new door that is un-familiar to the car.

Thanks for your assistance mate, I think that's what I'll have done.
Gonna wait a month or two for the gritters and salts to get off the roads though.
Also, there's bubbling on the bottom of the door, will re-skinning it sort that problem?

Yes, your door will need to be repainted after it's had the repairs and been re-skinned anyway. Also, there's bubbling on the bottom of the door, will re-skinning it sort that problem?
