how are the runners attached to the glass in the doors?
Is it a interfence fit or some sort of glass glue?

i think the metal clampt to the glass and uses the rubber to clamp it in. I need a new one on the front of the drivers door glass for mine

Yeah it's just held in place by the rubber seal.
