hi the nova and corsa 1600cc r c16nz is 75bhp & c16se is 100bhp & c16sei is 98bhp

Take its the c16sei then, any disadvantages in this to the c16se and will it drop in the allspeed frame?

that engine doesnt have 16v. it is an 8v version.

Nova GTE - E16SE
Nova GSI - C16SE

Both 1.6 8v's, main difference is that one uses Bosch parts, and the other doesnt .... cant for the life of me remember which.

You can also get a (rare) C14SE.

C16NZ is a single point 'injection' model (not true injection) - the one pictures is multi-point injection. Both this and the 1.4 C14NZ are very common engines, but not very powerful.

Terry's bhp outputs are correct.

oh yeah i know its 8v..lol..just wandered if fitted same as the mk3 astra c16se engine : )

It is indeed in the phase 1 ... phase 2's had X16XEL - 16v.

cheers all..this is my 1st project and im not the most patient person..lol..cnt find a 16se from a mk3 astra and came across this one from the nova knockin out 109bhp..so checkin if ok to buy and it would fit the same as the astra version in the allspeed subframe : )

why not just wait and get a c16xe? very good engines...
