Hi low and slow, first dibs on the flaming charger!
The Eaton 45 has a dump valve.... well sort of. It has an internal pressure release valve which returns the excess air back to the top of the charger.
I've been talking off of my ####, sorry!
'Another Eaton feature, a vacuum-operated bypass valve, recirculates the blower's air flow when boost is not needed (At idle and during light throttle, cruising applications.—MAX) to lighten the pressure on the engine and help to maintain near-stock fuel economy levels.' This is an external valve, built into some larger models on the charger or is bolted on the side as a bypass.
An interesting discussion....
dump valves and run away chargersAnother one about
dump valves....Another broad
discussion....The vac take off is on the inlet of the charger. Black and red thing on the right of the pic.
