Anyone been affected yet?

I'm anticipating having to drive through some rather large puddles on my way to climbing tonight!

Found one on the way home from the NEC on Friday...

Couldn't get through. Then tried to help a guy with a flat battery. Then I killed my car! Then I started my car, found another way around the flood, through a golf course. Then killed my car again! Then left it in a layby and got a lift home instead

Yep rather went round here.

Got my Transit suck!

A Manhole cover had decided to go for a swim, I couldn't see it under 1-2foot of water, so carried on with caution, and bang, down i went, stuck!

Thankfully a tracter got me out, no damage thankfully, but he'll it was scary!! Right in the middle of the biggest puddle I;ve ever seen!

Saw some scary water rushing about between here & Exeter today -- we have a lot of hills and all the rain wanted to run to the bottom at once. Except the rain which fell at the bottom of the hills in the first place. Er.....

Also some some nice minis parked up. But none braving the elements!

It's eased off now and the forecast is nice for tomorrow.

I like going to Uni in the Midlands as it means the floods are never as bad!
Back home in Somerset/Devon it was always bad when it rained - the other day some children got rescued from a school via a tractor in Somerset. Because we all be farmers, ye hear?!

not true  in the summer the whole bottom end of leamington spa was flooded my fav' bar right next to the river was flooded

and i live right next to the river so i can see it flooding the field over from us floods quite easy.

does anyone remember the floods in 1997?
behind out house we have a bankment so stop water flooding, before it can get over the bank it comes up the drain at the front flooding the steet so we cant go out the back of the house and cant go out the front

Many fields are flooded around the A22 (East Sussex) not affecting the roads to badly yet, though anymore rain and there will be a whole host of flooded roads and houses.

Drove through a large puddle down one of my longcuts but the car did not miss a beat despite getting soaked.
