I've just got jane. Any others annoy me. I also keep it turned off while I know where I am, because I get annoyed with it telling me which lane to be in on the motorway when I already know.

We've got a garmin i3 and a lady who talks to us, we've named her Alice.....if our friends want to borrow her they all ask for Alice too! Shes not irritating, but we think she likes shopping as she always heads for middle of towns!

an imitation of michael caine, downloaded for tom tom off the net. Quite apt for a mini but does get bloody annoying after a while though.

A friend used to have a sat nav called Fat Chav.. But after finally realising it was C**p (along with his car! a Metro!) he got a Tomtom..(and a Vauxhalll Astra) and now has John Cleese on it.. (Its brilliant..) Its great when you go the wrong way.. (he says funnier stuff) :) :(

I just have the stupid annoying woman that comes with it

Was quite funny because I was walking around a shop yesterday and walked past the sat nav section suddenly heard someone say ''at the end of the road, turn right'' :)

I have no sat nav, just lovely map-maps & atlases & a singing voice reminiscent of two crows fighting (according to Mr Juju) :) .

Mrs Teapot has someone called Tim. I think he's a dozy bum because he says nothing for miles and then "cross the roundabout, second exit." Big deal. Sometimes he gets you within half a mile of your destination and then suddenly says "turn around when possible." Just because the branch of Halfords you're heading for was a field of cows when his maps were uploaded. Huh.

"Then.. take the ferry and when you get on to the ferry, please leave the car because frankly our relationship is not as good as I'd hoped and I think a little time seperate will do us both good"

How do you get the voices?

If your Tom Tom is legit you can get some from Tom Tom home. If your Tom Tom is not all above board or is legit but you want more choice there are other websites doing them but they don't all work as well as the genuine ones and aren't great quality. Tom Tom themselves know exactly what phonics they need people to record to make the announcements sound right, other places just make people read words which doesn't work as well.
