Hi,

ive got a 1992 rover mini mayfair with 12" steel wheels. It has drums on the rear and discs on the front. What size discs am i likely to have? Ive read that there are 8.4" type and 7.9" sized discs, are these just depend upon what will size you have? For example would you assume that 7.9" discs would be used on 10" wheels and 8.4" on 12" wheels? - Thing is im wanting to replace both discs and pads very soon.

Also if i wanted to paint up my calipers, could i use normal metal paint or is there a specific type to use?

Thanks

You will have 8.4" solid discs fitted as standard on that car. There is specific caliper paint available to buy, its what I used on mine, and its weathered well!
