As per above, but consider it is approximately 130 miles from our base.

I had my first date at Cov Museum of Transport................ :)

It's been massively overhauled since then with a huge injection of millenium cash. I'd say it was worth a visit more now than it was back then. :P

130 miles isn't that far, really.

You want to go today, or something? :) It would take a lot longer than 30 mins to see everything!

i often travel from Banbury to SWF, takes just under 2 hours on a good run, so Southend to cov you need to allow at least 2 1/5 hours.

apparently parking isnt too great round there, i dont know for sure, just what we found out as our club was thinking of going there as it localish for us

parking is ok, there is a carpark nearby, but i don't know how much it is. I went to look round there with some landrover peeps, and is well worth a visit in my opinion :)

My advice, get in contact with them. We (RCMOC) did a trip there a couple of years back, with two other local mini clubs... They arranged parking for us within the museum compound.... If we'd had Public Liability Insurance back then, they would have considered allowing the cars to be parked as a display in front of the museum under the Arch thingy...

Defintely worth a trip, and great value @ free :)
