oven cleaner - thats what!


go for a drive, turn the heater on and get those windows down, this of course is more difficult if you have no car but not impossible.

Well, you say that, but I went up to see my mate in her uni and living with students is doing her head in! She is a bit of a Monica from friends, neat and tidy, organised (and looks a bit like her actually lol ) and she said she wants to scream because living with students is driving her mad! I know I wouldnt be able to do it, no WAY! living with my GCSE year sister is enough! x

No you dont! well i suppose its different for everyone! But first year of uni i lived in halls where the girls stole all my stuff said i wasnt allowed toby to stay round becuase he was a "stranger" even when they brought people back from clubs. And generally made my life hell! If i wasnt with toby i would have dropped out! there are onmly 8 of us on my course all of which live in plymouth with there parent so finding somewhere to live in year 2 was hard.

Found a flat and moved in with people one of which i am really close to the others were insane (click here)

Ill sum up -

Boaz - likes to drink but funny
Izzy - manic depressive like attention and would only ever tell me about how many guys want to sleep with her
John - Insane he hung my friends coat out the window on a string?!!!?!

Jason - Moved his internet girlfriend from america into his room and we never saw him again! There getting married now i think

This year i come back and Jason has moved out, Izzy was complaining about emptying the bins all summer ( she was the only on here) so she moves out. No its just me and Boaz ( who trashs the place every night from being drunk) WE have another 3 flat mate now

Danni, Ashley- i think are dating but they never speak to us i dont even bother saying hello anymore small talk sucks!

Kelvin- keeps getting me to sell things for him and ring in sick for him at work

All in all i would rather live at home save some money and get my own house when i finish. Im consttantly flitting between plymouth and cornwall and feel i dont have a proper base

They just leave it in a mess because they know i will clean it eventually but i did get three of us doing it friday and it was done very quickly

Dont clean it up for them then as you will get used and they will just walk all over you. Im a bit like a monica, my room can be a complete tip and I dont really like it but I put up with it, but if any of my house is a mess, it drives me mad and I just want to clean it up. Theres no way I could live with teens, it just wouldnt happen!!

Ahhhhh classic, are you the only one that ever empties the bins? I used to have this at work. I was literally the only one that did it!! I couldnt believe it and it got me SO angry. If someone knew someone would be in in the morning they would just leave it for them to do (which was usually me doing it again). Grrr lol!! That was my pet hate at work!! x

Holly, you should make a rota

We made a list as to who would take the bins out on which day and who would make sure that the kitchen was clean and all the washing up was done!

That way, we knew who wasn't doing their work, so we could tell 'em off!

I made a Rota I stuck it on the fridge! I emptied the bin got a tick - Boaz emptied the bins (when i told him better than nothing) got a tick then when its someone elses turn it stops :'(

I even put a note on the fridge explaining how to empty the bin!

At the very least, at least you can write a note.. apparently notes are banned in our house.. which is interesting to say the least...

My experience of 'home'

In our 8 bedroom house, about 4 of us do housework, the dishwasher is never emptied or filled up for that matter.. come home to piles of dirty stuff stuck on the side and in the sink, sink blocked with food and manky water, bin overflowing, food spilt over the floor and sides.

Until last week, every time someone wanted to use the oven, it set the whole house fire alarm system off as one of the boys insists on cooking with too much oil, which spilt all over the oven, and burns on. (one of the girls eventually cleaned it)

The living room smells of boys and beer, as usually come home to beer cans and dirty bottles glasses and plates in there.

Our electricity cuts off every few months due to a fault in the wiring (although we think we have fixed this now after discovering live wires hanging out a plug socket in one of the bedrooms!!) have been left with no electricty for days on end, or supplied with two long extention leads which we had to plug in one plug socket on the ground floor.

The boiler is broken so it looses pressure (we now have a nifty trick for this thou) The washing machine 'ate' my cardigan... and the shower leaks...oh and we had a wasp nest in the roof cavity above the bathroom, and the dead wasps filled up the bathroom light, making it pitch black in the shower for a few months...

The list goes on and on... lol will stop now though...
