The YouTube video doesn't do it any justice to be honest, I'll try and get a decent recording with a better camera!

During the fix - Needed a new wiper rack cable, and also a new gear wheel inside the motor, my old one was completely worn done, I can get pictures if anyone would REALLY like to see it, failures can be interesting to see sometimes? Or at least i think so anyway.

Everything fixed, bonnet closed, wipers back on etc. Shes needs a good clean!

Notice the netting? It's a Helmet Harness, finishes the rally look and also handy for placing stuff on so it won't roll around in the back while cornerning!

But i googled them afterwards, Car Builders Solutions don't actually have them! If you google TRS Helmet Hammock or Harness you'll find them, the newer ones now have black mesh instead of white net, and theres a few different colours.

She's MOT'd,
She's Tax'd,
She's Insur'd!
Not all smooth sailing, she has stupidly high compression, and might still need a high torque starter.
I've fitted a brown leather bonnet strap, and also an aston petrol cap cover, I'll get some pictures up soon.
I've also fitted some Cooper S brakes, so 10 inch wheels, here I come!
Like I said, i'll get some pictures up, but here's a favourite from during the build, taken by a mate of mine!

I'm really pleased with this those Cosmics. They stick out a good inch past my arches even though they're only 10x5!

You've missed a lot... The car has arches, and was featured here:
http://www.ilovebass...rs-mini-cooper/

Before that, (after 500 miles) my timing chain snapped at full chat on a dual carriage way, no engine damage, other than a broken timing cover and of course, the chain, engine out and back in, in 2 days. But that was over a year ago? Flip.

I have a stack of photos from when I put the engine in, I'll try and get them up.

In the mean time, I'm re-wiring her at the moment, and putting in a works style dash, like I always wanted.
3 Years-ish of use on the road has really taken it's toll on the bodywork and I'll need to get the welder out soon.... they really arn't designed too well these cars, are they?
Old burnt out loom:

Some new wires:

New loom bits:

Headache:

Possible passenger side dash panel layout, minus a relay:

Drilled:

Testing:

It works, so out it comes and disassembled (note the expertly drilled holes

Oh crap, some vinyl fell on it:

Done!

Back in:

Some other bits and pieces, I've center clocks etc ready to go in, and still need to drill out my other dash panel for gauges, but you get the idea, heres the new dash lights:
With wires in and heatshrinked:

New wiper motor loom and park switch, all soldered and heat shrinked:

My new crimp tool does sweet crimps, i've removed every single little blue or red insulated crimp terminal from my car because they are RUBBISH:

Soldered:

Heatshrinked:

I'm also updating all the connectors on the loom, this is the new reverse light stuff for example:

And the side indicators:

And my dash connector:

Front to rear loom:

I'm also using 6 way blocks for each headlight/sidelight/front indicator mini-loom, the whole new loom is "plug and play".
So whats left to do now is tidy up the wiring:
From this:

to this:

and this:

Now that it's all working, all i need to do is cable tie it all tight, remove it again, and loom tape it up, then reinstall it.
All the fuses, all of them, inline and bulkhead, are inside the car infront of the drivers set, super easy access. Also, the relays for the indicators and hazards are there, along with relays for the main beams and full beams. I've also done away with the bi-metallic flasher units and have nice electronic ones now, should fit the dash panel nicely.
I also converted an old RVI, positive earth smiths tacho to negative earth:

I doubt i'll use it though, i'm looking for an RVC.

The buzzer it pretty bloomin' loud as well, wasn't expecting that!
Think it would a shame to sell now with all the work that has gone into it, looks absolutely spot-on but does look like you've got a fair few things on from your other update post.
Great looking mini anyway and for what it's worth you should keep it!
Cheers
