Hey thanks very much John, and everyone else for their supportive comments.

I didn't get any pictures, because it was boring... but the inside of the car is ready to be painted, i rubbed it all down using 180 then 400 grit paper, really smooth now.

I'm using the dash rails as they are painted for my dash, no padded vinyl bits, so it has to look nice :)

And well, with the engine ready to drop in, it'll be happening soon. I'm going to help my mate rebuild his engine first though!

Plan is, engine in, paint inside, wiring loom, interior, brakes bleed, fueling sorted, switchs/dash sorted.. fire her up (good old OCC, American Chopper style, i promise videos!)?

And then give her the final paint job on the outside.

Still lots to do

Well guys, the engine is finally in, i broke an engine mount shortly after pictures where taken last night. Those captive nut ones from ebay are *poop poop*, avoid them like the plague.

So i bought a new one, without captive nuts, from my local guy, i shuda gone to him in the first place, cheap bargains on ebay are just that sometimes, cheap!

Broken Mount, *man danglies*.

Well folks, some pictures.

A lot of work has been done but with little progress.

I've got the engine turning over using the starter motor, but the starter jams sometimes.

I've also managed to get a spark in the plugs once, but then the spark dissapeared again, so i'm trying a different combination of dizzys and coils tomorrow, sigh.

The engine is partly hanging out again, because i had to mess around with the clutch cover, and also help centralize the clutch.

In other news, exhaust and inlet manifolds are on.

At least with the engine not sparking, it's not going to be driven. . .

I say this because if I had a engine looking that nice, the thought of it getting oily and dirty would bring a tear to my eye..

Good luck with the spark thing tomorrow, I'll be following for a update >_<.

John.

It started!

I was quite chuffed.

So i've started adding bits to the engine bay. I'm running out of room. Good thing it's pretty much all in there, time to get the wiring loom in now lol!

Soon enough, I'm gonna start rubbing her down for paint next week. My mate is going to spray her.

I was sorting the wiring today, and once it's painted etc, it'll be finishing touches.

Bleeding brakes, bleeding clutch, if they both work, i've got myself a car!!

Of course there's lights to sort out etc, but yay!
